Make before judging
We begin with a mark, a colour or a shape. You can assess the result later. Starting is the useful part.
Try first.
Ateliera Studio Ltd. started with a simple belief: everyone has something to express. Our Dublin-born studio gives that voice time, materials and thoughtful guidance.
No performance is expected. You bring your curiosity; we make room for the work to grow.
Make room for the first mark.
A welcoming start matters more than a perfect one.
Our art studio story
The founders had spent years around galleries and working artists. They saw talented adults leave classes early because the room felt too formal, the feedback too sharp or the pace too quick.
Ateliera Studio Ltd. was created to change that experience. Máire and her fellow artists chose a former Dublin print room, filled it with daylight, and began teaching small groups every week. Mistakes became part of the lesson. Conversation became part of the method.

Our teaching philosophy
Art workshops work best when the room feels safe enough to try something new.
We begin with a mark, a colour or a shape. You can assess the result later. Starting is the useful part.
Try first.
Artists explain choices, demonstrate techniques and ask what you want to notice. It feels practical, never like a lecture.
Bring your questions.
A first watercolour session and a serious portfolio goal need different support. We adapt the prompts and feedback to you.
Your pace counts.
Painting instructors Dublin
Our tutors still make their own work. They also teach every week, so their advice stays grounded.
Watercolour & mindful art
Nasrullah teaches colour mixing, loose botanical studies and quiet observation. Sessions have enough structure to help you begin, then space to follow your eye.
"A painting can be a place to pause."
Digital art & illustration
Symantha brings a background in game design to approachable lessons on digital brushes, shape language and expressive character work.
"Clear tools make more room for ideas."
Japanese ink techniques
Aliona leads visiting workshops in brush control, ink wash and the expressive strength of a single considered line.
"Let the line show how you looked."
Creative community Dublin
A Tuesday evening can hold six very different ideas. People show their pages, swap practical tips and celebrate the small turn that makes a painting feel like yours.
"Ateliera isn't just a studio, it's a family of people who cheer each other on."
Kelli Shaar, evening painting student
Notes from the room
"I arrived with a blank sketchbook and left with three pages I wanted to keep going. The tutor gave me one clear thing to try, then let me find my own version."
Mihai Marin
Why did I choose Ateliera Studio Ltd.?
"Because the first email answered the question I was too shy to ask: can a complete beginner come along? My colleagues noticed I was calmer after the Thursday class. I now keep a small painting routine at home."
Detta Lockey, product designer
"The digital class gave me a better way to test ideas before committing to a finished illustration. I liked that feedback was specific and kind."
Oscar Celac, illustration student
